If you are moving to a new property or it is time to move because you have bought a new house, congratulations!

It's time to pack up and take your whole life to this new space that you will surely make your sweet home.

We give you some tips to avoid complicating the mobility of you, your assets and those of your family to avoid setbacks and necessary expenses:

New space

Now that you have seen your new empty place, you already have a dream place in your head, or at least you are planning it and you know where you would like to have "everyone with their each one". Take advantage of your time and make the necessary modifications before moving all your belongings to this new property. If you need to paint walls, add some ironwork or other adjustment, do it before the move to avoid moving or rearranging furniture or items. Doing this will save you the fatigue of reorganizing and save time.

Save time and money beforehand

If you already know that you will be moving soon, start packing items that are not essential, and that you are sure you will NOT use until after you have moved. You can do this in a small moment that you have free, when you get home or before going to sleep.

Consider at least a weekend or a couple of days to make the move; this is very important; that there is a commitment to achieve the packaging and preparation of your furniture during those days. If you have few objects and furniture, the move will be easier and faster. This could be done in several trips in the same day, if you have a private vehicle (save for gasoline).

In case you do not have a vehicle or have large furniture to transport, you will surely hire a company that is in charge of transporting and accommodating your furniture to your new home. Look for the best option in terms of budget and type of transport and pay for it with the money you have saved, it is worth it.

Group the objects by functionality or by area of the house.

You can group the appliances in one place in your house. In another place, the family's clothing, in another, the dishes used in the kitchen, in another, personal care equipment, in another cables and small electronic devices, and in another, toys, for example. This is just the beginning.

Clean, clean and clean

Now that you have grouped the objects that you will take to your new house, please clean them. It's hard to find the time to do these kinds of tasks on a day-to-day basis. Take the opportunity to clean them and to clean the areas of the house from which you have taken them. It is also important that you do a special cleaning. By this, I mean that it is mandatory that you get rid of any item that is damaged, broken, old, that you don't use or that you say you are going to fix but never do. The same applies to clothing, if it is no longer your size, and you are waiting for the moment to use it, it is better to give it away or donate it to someone who does and who really needs it.

Pack carefully

Your objects are very precious. Treat them with love and care. Breakable objects made of glass, ceramics, or furniture or breakable items that can be damaged or scratched should be packed in bubble wrap. If you can't buy bubble wrap or it's not available, you can use several sheets of newspaper or tissue paper to roll up objects, wrap surfaces in cloth or strong fibers to prevent damage, or cover them with plastic wrap.

Use all available spaces appropriately.

If you have suitcases, handbags and backpacks, use them! There you can store your clothes and shoes. If you need more space, you can use plastic bags that you don't use, or boxes that you have at home. Once you have grouped the objects, you can store the lighter items in plastic bags and the heavier ones in sturdy boxes or suitcases. In this way, you will realize if you need extra space and thus be able to buy cardboard or even plastic or wooden boxes, according to your needs.

Label all

Label the bags and boxes with the items found inside them. If you included appliances and cups in a box, for example, just that, write it on a masking tape with a permanent marker or directly on the box. If it's bags, close them and add a sticky tape with the information.

Keep in contact

Be attentive on the day of the move with your moving company, guide them to the new property and give them specific indications of the place where the furniture will be accommodated. Later, keep in touch with your family and friends as well in case they have any decoration or arrangement suggestions for the furniture and objects in your new home.

Order and patience

With the same organization that you packed, you will unpack and arrange everything in your new home. Do it immediately after transporting your goods to this new place. The more you procrastinate, the harder it will be to get your place ready. Remember that cleanliness and order brings peace and tranquility. Disorder and haste breeds chaos and impatience.

Opening

If it is within your possibilities, make a space in your agenda to have a meeting in your house, even if it is small, to celebrate that you are going to live in this property of your choice. It is a great event in your life, do not let it go unnoticed.
