Partying in Tulum!

blog.by C21 Caribbean blog.datep 25/08/2022

Tulum has the vibe of being a city that is still a town, ecological, and friendly, but it also has its partying side until dawn. We mention some places and events that you cannot miss to experience that other wild side of Tulum.

Mayan festival.

The municipality of Tulum, together with the Secretary of Tourism, are given the task of carrying out the Mayan Festival, which takes place in the center of Tulum, in the streets behind the main avenue and on Mercurio Poniente st. In that area, you can find a small fair, where you can enjoy delicious Mexican snacks, tacos al pastor, and refreshing drinks. You'll also find items for sale, such as clothing, home goods, accessories, toys, and crafts. It takes place twice a year, in March and October. This event offers music and dance for the entertainment of locals and tourists. It is a good option to go shopping on your own or as an option to go out with friends as well.

Papaya Playa Project.

This hotel complex is characterized by offering shows with renowned DJs on full moon nights. Large stages are set up and drinks and dinners are offered to enjoy these spectacular shows. Prepare your best outfit to attend these great events. They are very popular in the area. It has entrance cover. You can search for  further information on their official pages.

Batey.

Pasito Tun Tun.

You can come and go from Batey to Pasito Tun Tun, they are on the same street, one in front of the other. Ideal to go relax a little to the rhythm of rock, reggae or salsa music, with your friends or partner. They have a variety of national and imported beers and shots.

Santino Bar.

Ideal club for lovers of reggaeton, hip-hop and rap. This place is the favorite of young people who like the urban genre and are willing to dance all night long.

Day of Independence of México

You will find some deals or discounts in some bars and restaurant-bars due to the celebration of this important event. The people go out to celebrate in the streets and have dinner with their family or friends. "El grito de independencia" is a reason to meet in the plaza in the center of Tulum, right in front of the municipal palace, on September 15th.

Also, on this esplanade, a stage for performances is set up where various artists and musical bands and recorded music are presented starting from 6 pm, approximately. Music stops shortly after midnight. Friends get together and organize their "Noche mexicana", it is a dinner with typical Mexican dishes, Mexican music and Mexican outfits. The cry of independence is a celebration of the country, and of our freedom. This event commemorates the armed uprising that the people organized against the Spaniards in our national territory known as "Nueva España" in the year 1810. Seeing our flag wave and shout "Viva México" every September 15th at night, revives us and makes us feel proud of our nation.

Town fair in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

In the area known as Terreno de la expo-feriad, on Osiris Sur st, the annual town fair is held. In it, you will find the sale of clothing, the sale of footwear, mechanical games, skill games, the sale of food, toys, kitchen items and household items in general, as well as articles. It starts in mid-December, ending at the end of the same month. There is also a mechanical bull and an area for concerts (you need to pay cover for the concerts).
